in Sky#1
I do not have the ability to do this but maybe this will help someone who can.
Correct me if im wrong but the reason the viewing card cannot be copied is because the card only works in the digibox it was first installed in.
For this to work each digibox must have some sort of unique identifier or serial number hardwired into it. Like the same way mobile phones have the imei number.
Heres my idea:
Would it not be possible to open up the digibox and change its serial number (or whatever sky uses to identify the digibox) to match the box the viewing card was copied from?
Sony playstation can be chipped to bypass hardware lockouts can the similar not be done with digibox?
On another matter... the sky encryption.
Am I right in assuming the minidish only recieves from sky and cannot send anything from the digibox back to sky through the dish?
If so the encryption sky uses must have the same decryption code for every viewer and the combination of the serial number of the digbox and the information on the viewing card gives the code needed to decrypt the signal.
Is it not possible to somehow connect a computer and monitor how the digbox decrypts the signal and figure out what the encrpytion code is? Then using a computer program and a digital sattelite card use skys code to decrypt signal?

- #2Sky dish can only receive, not transmit.
As for the rest of the questions, I amn't gonna touch them with a barge pole because you're breaking the rules posting them here. NDS encryption system is kept under many non-disclosure agreements and is incredibly hard to crack (it hasn't been hacked since it was developed in about 1997). - #3This thread could break the record for the fastest lock ever.
- #4except for the fact is has been and you can now have sky on a dreambox.
But yeah end of discussion. - #5sky digital in the uk has never been hacked, but i know that nds in the usa has been hacked, but there are diffrent versions of nds, and i know that the new sky italia nds system has been already hacked but no codes are avadable to the public,
Its not just a simple as just copying a card, The people thant can hack it are very pro people with highly payed jobs so why would they risk there jobs for just hacking sky,
I know that top up tv is already hacked as ive seen a seca 2 titanium card working on top up tv but also with this codes are not released to the public as of fears of top up tv going down tha pan as itv digital did when it got hacked, as top up tv is the only compition againt sky, - #6yes you can copy copy cards
check out modshack forums - #7yes you can copy copy cards
check out modshack forums
needs password and registration disabled - #8no you can't
p.s im a modrator on modshackyes you can copy copy cards
check out modshack forums - #9I saw thread on there from 2003 what goes on about a sky hack quite intresting..
- #10p.s im a modrator on modshack
can you let me register? - #110

I hope Rupee's NDS systems gets hacked to death!!!!!!!!!!!! - #13No, the card can't just be copied and used at will... even without digibox ID data of any kind, its not just a 1 euro smartcard that a 20 quid reader can copy.
That said, my 250 quid reader can't do them either :-p - #14I do not have the ability to do this but maybe this will help someone who can.

There are a couple of problems:
- no encryption system is unbreakable. The trick is in making it cost more to break than it is worth. Why would you pay 3000 quid for a system that will let you watch Sky 'free', when those 3000 quid would buy you 6 years of subscriptions
- as soon as any cloned card or box became popular enough for it to be a risk to Sky you can be sure that they will find out about it & blacklist the number.
Lastly, of course, Sky are in busines to make money. If they get hacked to the point where they can't do that, they'll just shut down & Murdoch will go make his money elsewhere. At the end of the day, thieves might get some intellectual satisfaction from figuring out the encryption, but they will always lose out eventually. And they'll ruin things for the honest majority, as usual.
SCardX Easy is an ActiveX control which creates the communication channel between your application and any ISO-7816 smart card via MS Smart Card service and the attached PC/SC compatible smart card reader. SCardX Easy adds to your application or web site the following smart cards functionality. I wish to add that cloning Smart Cards does not guarantee the access to paid bouquet ( depends STB & service) as most manufacturers these days use paired set-top boxes, meaning the smart card (CAS) is paired to the decoder's chipset, even using the same original smart card on two different set-top box (same make /model ) will not work. It is designed in a way that every SC has its unique.
